3r PREMI PER AL FAMILY DAY, De “Alcuin awards”
The ALCUIN award was launched in 1991 by EPA to highlight the role of parents in the education of their children. The Alcuin Award ceremony usually takes place during a General Assembly of EPA every year. It honor the best educational innovation in Europe by giving this recognition to a person, a school, a group or an activity nominated by EPA members, Ministries of Education in the EU countries or the European Commission. The nominated projects must fulfill the following five criteria:
- Contribution to education
- Involvement of parents
- Home-school relationship in education
- Easy dissemination and role model for other associations
The tangible presentation of the Award is a trophy, statue or work of art that has been specially designed for this occasion.
In this edition, the presented and rewarded Canigo’s activity “Family Day” won the 3rd prize of the Jury. First prize was for the “Rencontre Parents-Ecole” activity by APEL (France), producing and making available a communication kit for leaders of parents associations enabling them to lead an evening between teachers, principals and parents about educational issues: ex: authority, motivation, orientation, values, being a parent at school…
